The NFL draft is one of my favorite times of the year. I read, I watch and being a San Diego Chargers fan I pray. What I love about the draft goes beyond the excitement of a team being on the clock, wondering who will be picked next and not even the surprise of a trade by a mystery team moving up.
What I love about the NFL draft is “potential”. TJust listen to each team’s general manager explain why they picked who they picked. They will talk about football skills, needs being filled, and intangibles that will make a difference in the year ahead.
This week’s Soul Food for Friday features quotes for reaching your potential whether you are drafted this weekend or like me are still sitting by the phone waiting for it to ring.
