Leadership Lessons from Ephesians: Masterpiece Moments

Reading through the Bible this year led me to Ephesians 2, and one of my favorite verses of all time. Ephesians 2:10, God has made us what we are. He has created us in Christ Jesus to live lives filled with good works that he has prepared for us to do. (GOD’S WORD)

My favorite translation of this verse is from the New Jerusalem Bible, We are God’s work of art, created in Christ Jesus for the good works which God has already designated to make up our way of life.

Don’t you love that phrase, “We are God’s work of art.” The Greek word is poiema, we get the word poem from that. Even more we discover this same God who saves by grace through faith is working in our lives to create His masterpiece in us and through us.

God’s great work is not just of long ago, but today, in you and me. Leadership at its best looks for those masterpiece moments of God doing His incredible work in us and through us.

What great work of His do you see in the lives of others? In your own life?
